Derek Walsh
Derek is a Partner in our Litigation and Dispute Resolution Departments. Thanks to his significant experience in all aspects of litigation procedure and practices in all court jurisdictions, Derek plays a key role in several MHP Sellors practice areas, including Commercial Litigation; Dispute Resolution; Clinical Negligence; Defence Litigation; and Licencing and Gaming.
Derek advises and acts for and on behalf of a number of insurance companies. He has particular expertise in handling defamation, employer’s liability, public liability, occupier’s liability, road traffic and property damage claims. Derek also acts for private clients in respect of general litigation matters, in particular those arising out of commercial disputes, shareholder disputes and judicial review matters. In addition, he handles licensing matters for public houses, night clubs, restaurants and casinos.
Derek sits on the Board of numerous charitable organisations. He is a Past President of the Limerick Solicitors Bar Association.
