Brain Injury Awareness Week 2018

National Brain Injury Awareness Week starts today, Monday 5th March 2018 and runs until 11th March 2018. The campaign coordinated by organisations such as ABI Ireland, Headway and the Neurological Alliance of Ireland aims to increase awareness of the impact that brain injuries have on people and their families and the vital support services that are available nationwide.

Ronan Hynes, Partner and Serious Injury specialist said: “Head and brain injuries can have a devastating and life changing impact on the individual and their families. Recent research by ABI Ireland highlights an overwhelming need for neuro rehabilitation services in the community as part of a multidisciplinary team approach. At the moment, we have a gap in services between acute care, rehabilitation and longer-term support services and the Government needs to fast track its plan for advancing neuro rehabilitation services across the country.”

The Sellors Team will ‘Bake for Brain’ on Friday, 9th March 2018 to raise much needed funds for Headway. 100% funds donated will to go to Headway, Limerick.
