Tusla admit ‘systemic’ service failures

Tusla, the State Agency responsible to promote and support the development, welfare and protection of children in Ireland, has accepted the findings and recommendations of the National Review Panel, which was appointed to investigate the quality of services provided to foster care children at a foster care family in Dunmore, Co. Galway. The Child and Family Agency admitted it failed to protect three children who were repeatedly raped by a teenager while in the care of the State between 2003 and 2007.
