Sellors deliver new sensory room for Enable Ireland

On Wednesday, 12th of June 2019, a brand new state-of-the-art multisensory room officially opened at Enable Ireland’s Adult Services Centre in Mungret, Limerick with the help of leading law firm, Keating Connolly Sellors. In June 2018, a 13 strong team at Sellors climbed Ireland’s three highest mountains in one day to raise €15,000 to fund the new multi-sensory room.

At the opening, Dolores Ryan, Enable Ireland Limerick Adult Services Manager, commented: “The sensory room will be an all-inclusive dedicated space for service users with complex dual disability needs to provide relaxation and enjoyment; stimulate sensory input and facilitate communication and mobility for the service users. We are extremely grateful to the Sellors team for providing this incredible new facility for the centre.”

Enable Ireland, Limerick provides vital therapy and support services to children and adults with disabilities in Limerick city and county. Its Adult Services Centre in Mungret provides a non-residential, 5-day week service to over 50 adults with physical and sensory disabilities encompassing a wide range of services such as person-centred planning, training and development, physiotherapy, sports facilities, transport, rehabilitation and respite.

Ronan Hynes, Partner at Sellors commented that: “We are delighted and extremely proud to see the multi-sensory room officially open today. The feedback from the service users to the new sensory room has been fantastic and we are confident that it will have a positive impact for many years to come. I want to sincerely thank everyone for the incredible support we received during our Summit Challenge without which today would not have been possible.”
