Ronan Hynes speaks out about Galway Foster Home Abuse Cases

Ronan Hynes, Partner and the team at Sellors Solicitors act for ‘Sarah’ who attended a foster care home in Dunmore, Co. Galway. Sarah is not her real name to preserve her anonymity. This foster home has become the subject of significant scrutiny due to instances of child sexual abuse at the home spanning several years.  The foster care home was subject of an RTE Investigates programme entitled ‘Failure to Foster care’ in April 2016 and a more recent RTE broadcast entitled ‘Fostered & Failed’ in April 2018. Ronan and the team have been tirelessly working with Sarah and her family to ensure that they will find answers and that a full and detailed inquiry would be held.

Ronan contributed to the Primetime RTE Investigates programme (see link below) and to Mary Wilson on RTE Drivetime show following the Government’s announcement that an independent investigation was underway and receipt of a full, unreserved apology from the HSE for service failings whilst our client was in foster care.
