Ronan Hynes
Ronan Hynes is a Partner and Head of Healthcare Litigation at MHP Sellors LLP. He leads the firm’s award-winning healthcare, clinical negligence and catastrophic injury practice, advising individuals and families in complex, high-value cases involving acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, birth injuries, cerebral palsy, delayed cancer diagnosis, surgical negligence and orthopaedic errors.
Dual common law qualified, Ronan trained and practised with a leading UK national law firm. He holds an LLM in International Commercial Law from the University of Nottingham, an Executive MBA from Trinity Business School and an Advanced Diploma in Medical Law from King’s Inns.
A passionate advocate for patient safety and access to justice, Ronan serves as a Board Member of Acquired Brain Injury Ireland and actively supports initiatives promoting rehabilitation, awareness and support for individuals and families affected by acquired brain injury.
In 2026, Ronan was named Munster Lawyer of the Year at the Irish Law Awards in recognition of his contribution to healthcare litigation, patient advocacy and catastrophic injury law. Under his leadership, the MHP Sellors healthcare team has also received national and international recognition for excellence in medical negligence and brain injury litigation.
