MHP Sellors LLP Internship Programme

The MHP Sellors LLP internship Programme, run from the firm’s Ennis and Limerick offices, welcomes those in the final stages of their legal education, and practitioners in the early stages of their legal careers. This programme serves as a gateway to our Trainee Solicitor Programme, offering invaluable learning experiences.

Internships are paid, range from 8 weeks in duration upwards, and operate year-round.

Completing the MHP Sellors LLP internship programme was a pivotal step in my journey towards becoming a solicitor. The hands-on experience, mentorship from seasoned professionals, and exposure to a variety of legal tasks provided me with a solid foundation. The programme not only sharpened my legal skills but also instilled in me the confidence to tackle complex challenges in the legal field.

What can I expect as an intern?

As an intern, you will hone personal and professional skills, shadow solicitors and trainee solicitors, undertake diverse tasks, and engage with colleagues willing to share insights into the legal profession.

At the end of your internship, you will have the opportunity to apply for a traineeship with the firm.

Types of work interns can expect to experience encompasses

  • Performing legal and factual research
  • Drafting and summarising legal documents, checking for accuracy
  • Preparing correspondence, written reports and perform records research
  • Organising and tracking case files
  • Recording client meetings and drafting daily correspondence such as letters and legal documents
  • Assisting fee earners in additional legal matters

Who can apply

Our Internship Programme is open to applicants from all disciplines who are considering a career as a Solicitor. Applicants should ideally have completed or be in the process of taking their FE-1 examinations.
